Overview
EZLease can store attachments, of any file type, to lease records. Storing attachments is optional, but can be helpful in keeping track of lease agreements, amendments, floor plans, etc. In EZLease, on the Descriptive tab, if you click on the View/Change Attachments button, the Attachments workspace opens, permitting you to add, delete, view, and export attachments to a lease record.
Attachments can be viewed and accessed by all users (unlike files saved to My Files, which are only accessible to one specific user.
This article aims to outline how to manage attachments in EZLease:
Note: The New Attachment, Delete Attachment, and Export Attachment buttons are greyed out when a lease record is "locked." To activate the buttons, "Edit" the lease.
Adding a new attachment
You may attach any type of file. Enter a caption (up to 200 characters; default is the file name) for the file, which you will use to select the attachment in the future, and which will display on listings. Note that you must first upload the file to My Files, in order to attach it to a lease.
If you attach a picture file (with an extension such as .bmp, .gif, .jpg, .jpeg, .png, .tif, .tiff), EZLease displays the picture once it is saved. All other files must first be saved to My Files and downloaded to your computer (See: Viewing an attachment).
