If you are concerned that your database may have internal errors, perhaps because the computer crashed while EZLease was running or changes were made to the database outside of EZLease, choose Help/Repair Database. EZLease scans the database looking for data inconsistencies. When possible, it prompts you with options to correct inconsistent data. This routine is automatically triggered if you open a database that does not have the “Read Only” attribute set, as described in File Maintenance.
You may choose to repair a single lease, or the entire database. Please note that sometimes the automated correction may give undesirable results. For instance, if a rent step is found to have dates that are not an even multiple of the payment frequency (for instance, a monthly rent step that goes from January 1 to December 15), EZLease will automatically convert the rent to daily. EZLease will list all the proposed changes before actually updating the database; if you don't like the changes EZLease plans to make, choose Cancel and adjust the identified leases yourself.
