The first time you start EZLease, you must choose a SQL Server instance to login to:
If you choose Windows authentication, simply select the server you want and click Connect. (If the server you want is not listed, enter its name in the box below the list.) If you choose SQL Server authentication, specify your login ID and password. You may choose whether or not to have EZLease store your password for easier access. (Please note that while EZLease encrypts your password, it is necessarily stored on your computer and therefore less secure than SQL Server’s password repository. LeaseAccelerator specifically disclaims any responsibility for a breach of a stored password.) EZLease does not reprompt for the password during a single session, unless you switch servers and then switch back.
EZLease stores your server selection, and the next time you start EZLease, it attempts to automatically log in. If unsuccessful, this login screen displays again. If you haven’t provided the password for SQL Server authentication, this screen displays with the last used server highlighted and the login name displayed.
You need to separately specify the server and login information for the account numbers group database. If you wish to change it at a later date, go to File/System Options and click on Account Numbering, then click on Browse to select the new server.
If you use more than one server, login and password information are saved only for the most recently used server.
If you want to change to a different user, use File/Open and click on Change Server to log in again using the different username (or authentication method). A change in user immediately affects the list of available databases (those to which you do not have read access are not displayed in the list), and your permissions for the Account Number Groups database.
