Maximum Interest Rate
If a rate higher than the maximum is entered for the incremental borrowing rate, implicit rate, or a user- classified discount rate, EZLease will display a warning message asking if the entry is correct. You may still enter whatever rate you wish, but this reduces the potential for inadvertent errors.
User-Defined Fields
You may specify a title for the twenty user-defined fields. Your defined title will then appear on reports and screens in place of the generic “user-defined #” title.
You may also choose how many fields to display both on the input form and in spreadsheet output, to minimize clutter from unneeded fields.
Executory Cost Types
You may specify a title for the five executory cost types. Your defined title will then appear on reports and screens in place of the generic “Exec cost #” title.
You may also choose how many types to display both on the input form and in spreadsheet output, to minimize clutter from unneeded types. If you choose 0, the box Display executory costs on the New Standard tab is unchecked.
Non-Lease Component Types
You may specify a title for the five non-lease component types. Your defined title will then appear on reports and screens in place of the generic “Comp #” title. You may also choose how many types to display both on the input form and in spreadsheet output, to minimize clutter from unneeded types. If you choose 0, the box Display non-lease components on the New Standard tab is unchecked.
User-Defined Date 1, 2
You may specify a title for the two user-defined dates. Your defined title will then appear on reports and screens in place of the generic “user-defined” title.
Variable Lease Payments 1,2
You may specify a title for the two user-defined categories of variable lease payments. Your defined title will then appear on reports and screens in place of the generic “Var Pmt” title.
Displayed Company Name
Your copy of EZLease is registered to your company, and the company name appears on all reports. Since company names can change, you may enter a different name to appear on reports.
Giving EZLease to another company while continuing to use it yourself is a violation of copyright law.
Options Store Location
By default, the file that saves the system options you select from one run of EZLease to the next (named Options.xml) is stored in EZLease’s data folder (C:\ ProgramData\ LeaseAccelerator\EZLease for Vista, 7, and later; C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\LeaseAccelerator\EZLease for Windows XP). You can move it to another location either by typing the path or by browsing to it (click the Browse button). This is primarily intended for EZLease users with multiple seat licenses, so they can share a common set of options, but may also be useful to make sure the settings file is backed up regularly. For more information, see Setting up EZLease for Multiple Users in chapter 1.
