Create a new company. You may start with the system options settings for another company, or with a default set. Settings for another company may come either from a company in your settings database or may be loaded from external files (for use when combining separate installations of EZLease or loading the settings of a client who is also using EZLease). EZLease normally names the System Options file Options.xml, while the account numbers database is Account Numbers.mdb; each name has “ LR” appended for the Lessor edition of EZLease. Any name can be used for the import (since you may need to rename the files to have multiple files in one folder).
If you are transferring in a SQL Server account numbers database, you first need to export the database to an Access database. To do this, create an empty Access database using Microsoft Access. Then in SQL Server Management Studio, export the EZ_ANGroup database to the Access database. You can then import the data.
Import Company
Load all the System Options settings from another company to the current company.
Change Company Name/ID
Click the button to change the company/entity name displayed on reports and in the list of companies, or the company ID.
Load Company
Reset the active company, with all its settings, to the company selected in the Company Name box. Any open database is closed when EZLease exits System Options.
Export Company
Create new Options.xml and Account Numbers.mdb files with all the settings for the selected company. This is primarily intended for when this company is going to start using EZLease on its own, and you are providing the existing setup for them to use in their own installation.
Delete Company
Remove a company from the list of valid companies. If you have an open database, you must assign it to a new company. (If another database is assigned to a deleted company, you must assign it to a new company when you next open it.)
Change company for Open Database
Each database is assigned to a specific company, and when you open the database, the options settings for that company are automatically loaded. To change the company to which a database is assigned, open the database, then set the new company here.
