Overview
The Notice Dates report displays leases whose rent is about to change, leases about to expire, and any notices that you create. In System Options, you can specify whether the Notice Dates report displays automatically whenever you open a database. Notices can be set up one of two ways:
- Go to File > System Options > Notice Dates tab, you can specify whether rent changes and lease expirations should be displayed, and for how many days before and after the scheduled event. This configures notices to be displayed for all leases in the database.
- For individual leases, you can create custom notices from the Notice Dates tab of the lease record. You specify a description, the notice start date, and end date for each notice.
Any notice can be dismissed, if you no longer need to see it, by unchecking the Display? box; however, you can display all notices, even those that have been dismissed, by checking the box at the bottom of the window marked, “Include notices that are not marked ‘Display.” Changes to the Display? flag on the report screen are not saved until you click OK to close the report; click Cancel to discard any display changes.
You may change the effective date of the report; change the “As Of” date and click Refresh, and notices are displayed as if the date entered is today.
If you click on Preview, the Notice Dates report displays in PDF output like other reports. If you select Export to Spreadsheet, it outputs to an Excel spreadsheet (.xlsx).
