Installing the Application (On Prem) – EZLease Success Center

Follow the steps below to install On-prem editions of EZLease:

Are you currently using the trial version?

Yes

Uninstall the trial version before installing the purchased application.

If you wish to keep the database with the leases you entered for the trial, they are saved in the EZdata.mdb file in the EZLease data folder.

For Windows Vista or later, at C:\ProgramData\LeaseAccelerator\ EZLease.

Note: Databases are not deleted or overwritten if you uninstall or reinstall the application.

Go to step 2.

Run each installation file that you need. Be sure to install EZLease on a local drive on your computer. While the database(s) may be installed to any accessible drive, the application itself must run from a local drive.

You may specify the disk and folder the EZLease files are placed in. By default, the files are placed in C:\Program Files (x86)\LeaseAccelerator\EZLease (no (x86) if you are using a 32-bit version of Windows).

Did you receive an error message indicating Microsoft .NET Framework v3.5 needs to be enabled?

Yes

Go to the Control Panel, select Programs and Features, and then click on Turn Windows features on or off.

Check the .NET Framework 3.5 (includes .NET 2.0 and 3.0) check box, click OK, and then reboot your computer if prompted. (It is not necessary to enable Windows Communications Foundation.)

Go to step 4.

Open EZLease by selecting the shortcut on your desktop or locate it through the Programs menu (in the EZLease group).

Note: If you plan to use EZLease in both an Administrator and a Standard (or Limited) account on the same computer, you must first run EZLease in the Standard account. If you run it first from the Administrator account, files will be created that the Standard user will be unable to change. If while running EZLease as a Standard user you get a security message when opening the application, log in as an Administrator and either delete the files, then recreate them from the Standard account, or change the file permissions found on the Security tab of the Properties for the file.

Enter your company name, serial number, and registration key exactly as they appear in the welcome email (case sensitive).

Note: After installation is complete you may change the company name displayed on reports.

Do you have the Lite edition?

Yes

On the registration screen, you can specify where the EZLease database should be stored.

By default it is C:\ProgramData\ LeaseAccelerator\EZLease for Vista or later and C:\Documents and Settings\ All Users\Application Data\LeaseAccelerator\EZLease for Windows XP).

If desired, change the path and then go to step 7.

Go to step 7.
